Just a quick post before I scurry off to work. My friend Peat found this incredibly awesome site The Baby Name Wizard's NameVoyager. This site kept Peat entertained for almost 6 hours, and me for three, but that's only because I was only up for three hours after I got off work.
You can type in almost anyone's name, and see when it was popular, see if it's declining in popularity or becoming more popular. You can look at old-fashioned names and see when they were popular, like names that start with H or something...just start typing, and the page changes for every letter you put in. You can see fashion trends becoming names, like Dulce, or cartoon characters...people didn't start naming their kids Jasmine until Aladdin came out.
It's just about the most entertaining site I have been to, and there's no lack of names to choose from. I know it's about the nerdiest thing on earth, but apparently Peat and I are easily entertained...maybe some of my readers are, too, since they read my blog.
And on a completely different note, Ashlee Simpson is having a fit about her mom hating her haircut, because cutting your hair is a way of finding yourself. *eye roll*

I'll have to give it a shot. I want to name my future daughter something off the wall, so I'll have to see if the two names I have picked out are original enough.
